The show presents a small selection of oil paintings on paper made between 2015 – 2017.
These works started as a methods of experimentation to discover interesting pictorial solutions to adopt on a bigger format. After a while, I realized those small paintings could stand as a series, because the final results were much fresher and genuine than the works on canvas.
I started to use different tools to knead the oil paint, and to reflect in terms of surface rather than composition, shapes and balance. They are made by a process of intuition and direct execution.
